Hi Colin
Even though I wasn't planning to buy the whole kit for the Expedition Rowboat in order to a) cut costs and b) really build the entire thing from scratch, given the difficulty in sourcing building materials here in Trinidad, I begin to think that it might be a good idea to have at least a Plan B in place that may involve shipping the kit from Canada to the U.S. (rather than sourcing the building material locally) and then from there on to the Caribbean.
Could you give me an idea as to the weight of the kit for the Expedition Rowboat when shipped? And the dimensions/length of the packages that the kit comes in? I think these are the sets of data shipping company use to calculate air/sea freight.
I have a 'sky box' address in Miami that I normally use for any purchases in the U.S. and that could be used for receiving a shipment from you guys in Canada. The shipping company operating that sky box receives the goods and then puts them on a plane or ship to get it to Trinidad where it also manages customs clearance.
Seeing that you are shipping the kits within Canada & U.S. (unless that's changed) this should, at least theoretically, be an option, yes?
Grateful for your assistance.
Kind regards,
Jens
