Is there an advantage to mixing the epoxy by weight rather than volume, and if so, what would the ratio be?
Thanks.

Measuring by volume or by weight both work well, each having pros and cons. I've always done it by volume, but see no reason why mass wouldn't be just as good. The biggest benefit of using mass measurements is you don't need to purchase the more expensive disposable measuring cups, and can instead use any cheap disposable cups. As far actually mixing - with one you're looking at the numbers on the edge of the cup, and with the other, you're looking at the numbers on the scale. The scale will offer higher resolution of the precise amount, however, measuring cups are definitely accurate enough, as long as you're careful. I believe the mass of the hardener and resin are the same, so you would simply measure in the same volume ratio provided by the manufacturer. Definitely double check though - looking either in the specs or doing a simple measurement test of two equal volumes.
