Custom Sliding Seat frame: coat with epoxy?

  Hi,

  I have completed building the frame for the sliding seat and have finished all the epoxy steps in the instructions.  I did not see any mention of coating the frame with one or more layers of epoxy and was a little surpised.  Anyone else apply an epoxy coating to seal the wood before varnish or painting?

  Hi Scott,

  Yes, I would coat everything with epoxy. I'm just starting to design and build my sliding seat for a CLC Annapolis Wherry too. Would love to see pictures of what you did.
