I Finished the boat last year and managed to get some sailing in then, and a couple times this year. But I'm ready to pass her on and make room in my garage for another boat build! I like to build things.
Price includes an all aluminum Trailex trailer with upgraded 12" wheels vs the 8" that come with SUT-350-S model. Also included is a spare tire. All total valued at somthing like $2,400 dollars.
9 foot carbon fiber oars although used when I got them seem to be in good shape. I went with a Balanced Lug Rig, mast boom and yard purchased from CLC boats. This is off the Southwester Dorry and I believe is 78 sf
I have built a mast partner and mast step for a mizen mast, so it's ready to go if one desired to add one.
Every piece of plywood or solid stock has been epoxied and or fiberglassed. Two layers of fiberglass on most of the hull. The kit was purchased from Duckwoorks Boat builders Supply in Port Townsend, WA.
The sliding seat is Carbon fiber, The oarlocks and foot stretcher are from Concept 2.
I've added an aditionl shaped piece of wood epoxied and filleted to the underside on the shear clamp. It just looks so nice.
I used Total Boat two part epoxy primer on all three hulls. and rolled on antifouling bottom paint. She's ready to stay in the water for extended periods.
I fiberglass taped all the seams on the inside of the hull and fiberglassed over that. More than what was called for.
I redessigned the foot stretcher assembly to be completly removed from the boat by removing two wingnuts.
The Rigger Arm was fiberglassed over with Duckworks Braided Biaxial Fiberglass Sleeving. This is a seamless 10oz fiberglass tube. The Akas, the two arms the span the width of the boat the Amas, outer hulls are attached to, were also fiberglassed using 10oz Biaxial sleeving. 6oz glass was called for in both these aplications, so I went a bit further.
