Hi - how difficult would it be to eventually convert this to a rowing/sailing vessel? Are there reinforcements for sailing that need to happen in the initial build of the hull?

Hi Rosalie,
Though it is more difficult to add the necessary reinforcements at this stage, it definitely seems feasible.
I know that some reinforcement needs to be added below the decks, as well as additional support for the masts.
I think the other components such as rudder, amas, akas could simply be constructed off to the side and then installed on the boat.
Also, as I stated in my post, the daggerboard I built for this boat is around half the length that is called out for the sailing kit, so you would just have to build a new daggerboard to replace.
It would still be a fair amount of work, but should move along quicker than starting an entire boat from scratch.
