I've just built your wooden oars from plans, and I now need collars/buttons so they don't slide through the oarlocks. In your oar manual, it says that buttons can be purchased on your online store, but I don't see them there. Are you still selling the buttons, or can you suggest any alternative ones from other retailers?
Hey Ray - Yes, unfortunately, we're not currently selling them due to supply issues. The good news is you can get the correct ones at Latanzo Rowing Parts. They are the only retailer (that I know of) that sells the correct ones for traditional wooden sculls. The ones made for composite oars (more widely available) are not the right shape.
Interesting to read about those rowing parts — it’s always a challenge finding authentic components that fit traditional builds. I’ve had a similar hunt for reliable platforms in other hobbies too. That’s actually how I came across bets24; I was looking for something straightforward and ended up appreciating its clean layout and quick setup. It’s nice when something just works without extra effort.
