Rough water performance.

We've taken these boats in rough water off the west coast of Vancouver Island, the North Sea in Northern Scotland and the Black Sea.

Could they handle the same kind of waters as an ocean kayak?

It looks like it. They're probably safer for beginners and intermediate being more stable and easy to recover from a capsize. A pro kayaker could probably make it through the biggest stuff.

There is a mention on the site of James Cracknell's crossing the channel. Here he is in a Coastal Scull setting off.
